Various findings exhibit the fact that women favour high indoor temperatures. This is named "the battle of the thermostat" and is actively researched and debated about. But no correlation was found between the effects of temperature and gender on cognitive function. A laboratory experiment was conducted involving more than 500 participants. The participants were given various kinds of cognitive tasks in order to find out if different temperatures have different effects on the cognitive function of males and females.
