Since the famous article in Lancet in 1988 stating that measles, mumps and rubella vaccine (MMR) is linked to the possibility of autism development, the fears and mistrust around vaccines continue to persist. The later retraction of the article and multiple studies disproving this idea has not stopped the spread of anti-vaccination sentiments. To investigate the influence of MMR vaccine further, multiple studies have been carried out in many countries, including Denmark.
