Running a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign

Crowdfunding is when a lot of people give money to help fund a project or idea through the internet. There have been studies done on why some crowdfunding campaigns are successful and they found that it may have to do with something called "social capital." Social capital is the value that comes from being part of a group or having connections with people.

The studies found that people who know the person asking for money in a crowdfunding campaign are more likely to give money if they have a strong relationship with that person. This could be because they trust the person more or because they have a history of good interactions with them.
